Disconnecting from a call

Hi guys
I'm thinking of getting an iPhone, but what bothers me is, when finishing a phone call if pressing the sleep button is it clear that it has disconnected ok, or is there a better way to finish a call,as years ago I had a phone that stayed on, and I clocked allot of money up, since then I went to Pay as u Go so it would not happen again.Thanks for any advice on this.

There's a giant End Call button at the bottom of the screen when you're in a call.

Yes, Like Kash said There is a VERY noticeable End Call button just as soon as you take the iPhone away from your face. While it's against your ear the screen is dark. So hanging up is as fast as taking it away from your ear and pressing End Call. I use Pay As You Go with a used iPhone 3G so can understand your concerns. Been using it this way for the last 3 months and it's great.

Thanks for that info dtravis7, yes having run a large bill up years ago, im a little concerned, but it seems the iPhone is quite clear with this End Call Button.
