When i alt into the os selection screen and click windowsxp (sp3), it'll freeze on the selection screen for about 2minutes (mouse too, everything), then boot normally into windows where it goes on to work perfectly, does it the same exact way every time...it's a 32gig partition formatted fat32
its not particularly devastating or anything, but its annoying as crap when my last mbp booted into windows immediately after selecting it
any thoughts?

17" unibody mbp 2.66ghz, 4g ram

That could be hardware related. When Windows boots, it enumerates all the hardware that it "sees" and compares it to the registry settings. If a driver or the hardware itself is not enumerating correctly (to Windows), you'll get a long time delay while Windows enumerates it and writes to the registry.

Normally, this will happen only once. But on occasion it gets stuck and does it over and over - in other words, each time it boots.

The fix? Re-install Windows or do a repair install.

Regards.
