External Burner

Hi all

I've finally given up on my internal DVD burner (PPC G5) Matshita. Could anyone recommend a decent external DVD writer. I'm quite a novice so any pointer would be greatly apprieciated.

Why not replace the internal burner?

I did think of that until i saw how much it costs. My Mac is 5/6 years old, i'm not a heavy user and don't wanna take the risk of putting in a new Superdrive and it breaking in the near future for some other reason. Unless you know of a place i can get a cheap one?
