Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but I think here is as good as any.

I had my hard drive partitioned for a while and I was running out of space, so I backed up all the important things on to my Time Capsule and decided that I was going to repartition the drive to give it more space. Somewhere along the way something went wrong and now I am seeing this:

When I go to disk utility to do what it tells me to I see this:

I'm not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You need to use this utility first, then try again. Link

Is there another program that is free that can do the same thing?

No, sorry. There are several free defrag programs for Windows but unfortunately none that I know of for Mac OS X.

Regards.
