Am I to interpret that the build date was in January of 2008 or does the 53rd week mean January of 2009? Perhaps Apple uses a "build" calendar that represents the production year cycle?

Pretty much all Apple products are made in China.

Anyone know how this works on refurbs? Is the manufacture date when it was refurbed?
