Hi,

Can someone please recommend a good set of entry level speakers for an iMac. I am looking for something around the USD100-150 range that has good sound at low to medium levels. I don't want a sub or anything too big as space is an issue.

I've heard good things about the Bose Companion II series...

if yer looking for over-hyped, over-priced, under-performing status symbols of the speaker world, bose should be right up yer alley. :) to this day, i can't figure out why people pay what they do for them...

they're not the prettiest, but if you want great sound, look at some M-Audios

I had a set of Bose Companion II, did not like them. Picked up some static noise, and honestly just didn't sound all that great. I like Bose systems, but wasn't impressed by those. Took them back, got a set of Logitech w/sub. Sounds great. No matter what you do, make sure you can get a full exchange.
