Mine is located at the bottom, with the little semi-translucent background surrounding it (got rid of ClearDock and the depressing Rochester subway background.) with the standard Aqua-blue background.
I used to have a dock-like application launcher for Ubuntu on the right side of the screen, but on OS X it just feels out of place there. Maybe I'll try on the right.
that is the coolest desktop i have seen!!!!! do you use some kind of theme?
on another note, i notice at the apple store that their puters have like a quick dock type thing in the center of the desktop. anyone know how to do this?
The things in the center of the desktop of the demo computers are for getting more info on apple services. They are not avalable to the public and even if they were they would not do you much good.
its an applescript application. you can quit it in the terminal or with an applescript. i wonder if theyll make a widget for it when dashboard and 10.4 come out...
