Boot into Mac OS X (hold ALT/Option after the startup noise) and go to Startup Disk in the System Preferences.

great! worked like a charm. any idea on how to modify the size of the partition? i allotted way too much space and want to make it a bit smaller.

If you're running Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" I believe you can open Disk Utility and freely re-size your partitions there.

You can't modify the Boot Camp partition with Disk Utility to make it larger or smaller. That will destroy the Windows boot sector. You need a utility which can non-destructively resize the BC partition. "Camp Tune" from the folks at Paragon software is what you need. It's free for now. Download from here.

Regards.
