Hey guys,

I just picked up a 1tb mybook and I'm using on my mac for time machine so I have a backup. Buy my ps3 wont recognize these files because it doesn't use fat32.

Can I partition the external hard drive for my mac and ps3? Say like 500gb for mac, and 500gb in fat32 format for ps3? And then be able to drag files I want to the ps3 partition to load on my ps3? This would be a lot easier than trying to use my mac as a media server to transfer files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you can partition the drive and format each partition as you want.

MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz 2GB Ram 200GB Hard drive, Mac Mini 1.5 Intel Core Solo 512Mb Ram
Go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
Then click on your hard drive that you want to partition and there should be a tab that says "partition." Then decide how many partitions and format. Hope this helps
