WD My Book question

okay, so i have a western digital my book filled with music, it's set up to run on a PC. well, i recently bought a mac. my question is, it there a way to make the hard drive mac ready without losing all the stuff on it? i have like 150gigs of music that i really DON'T want to lose.

The only way to change a hard drive from a Windows filesystem (most likely NTFS) to a Mac filesystem (HFS+) is to reformat the drive, erasing everything on it.

However, Macs can at least read NTFS drives, so you can transfer all your files off of it, reformat, and then move it all back onto the drive.
