My friend just moved over to Australia temporarily for a study abroad program and claims the internet is really slow. I thought I could possibly find an answer for him in this forum. He said he's connected via Ethernet cable from the jack in his wall. I'm not too sure what could be slowing it down, but if you have any ideas please let me know.
Thanks in advance

What kind of plan does he have? Is he sharing the connection with other people?

You gets what you pays for same as everywhere. ADSL is available practically everywhere at least 1.5MB/sec and ADSL2 is available in major centres Australia wide.
