it' better to just bump the previous post, for posts like these you are not likely to get any significant replies, let alone advice

just post your thread and either wait or bump it once or twice, it can get overlooked and there's always the chance that people won't have the right answer

and keep in mind that you won't always get an answer in a few minutes, give it some time
