Time Machine stuck

I have the 500 gb Time Capsule. Following set-up I had regular backups, but I just noticed that I can no longer enter Time Machine and I keep getting messages that Time Machine is "preparing backup" but it never stops preparing. When I stop it manually, it says, "stopping backup," but never ends with this.

I read somewhere that I should select not to have the hard drive be able to go to sleep to save energy. I tried that and at least got passed the "preparing" stage. I started the backup last night and it still says, "connecting to backup volume" though.

Machine preferences "change disk" it indicates that there are two disks to choose from. One has a name slightly different from what it should be and indicates the size of the backup and the other appears to have the exact name but no size. When I click on either of them, it links me to the correctly named Time Machine and even if I try to re-setup the Time Machine they are both there.

Please help if you can. Below are the messages from the console (I don't really know what it all means).
