Apple remote for macbook?

does the apple remote work in a macbook?

i have the versiom 4,1 (released in the end of 2007)

and if it does can i use all the utilities??

Yup. Works with all MacBooks and will support expected commands in Quicktime, iTunes, DVD Player, VLC, Front Row and some other 3rd party apps as well.

Yeah, they took this awesome selling point and disabled it in their new operating system ;)

I think you may be referring to the patch that enabled you to use Front row on unsupported machines back in the tiger days? Leopard enables front row on all Macs, regardless of whether they shipped with it or not.
