so I have a western digital my book and its connected to my mac mini..! I was wondering if its possible to connect it to my macbook pro at the same time too? or does it have to be connected only to one computer?? sorry if it sounds stupid but i just had no idea

you would need a switching usb hub to do that

otherwise if you are on a network you could get the mini to share the drive

thank you for your respond, for network it depedns on the internet speed right? I have a very slow internet (**** cox) till next week that I am getting verizon

sharing would depend on your local network, so would go at ethernet or wifi speeds, assuming both macs are in the same building
