G4 / OSX 10.4.11
Stock video card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX
My 15-yr-old CRT (RasterOps MC801HR 21”) will surely implode in the very near future.
Am looking to get a 22" widescreen with as good color rendition as I can get, but for as CHEAP as possible (don't want to exceed $300).
Are there any conflicts between my sort-of-old system and a new widescreen monitor?... images must display as proportionally correct... can't afford a new video card unless it is DIRT CHEAP, and/or will opt for a standard-width LCD if needed.
Usage: graphic design, print, websites, Photoshop etc... no games or movies.
Mostly concerned about potential conflicts, but manufacturer recommendations welcome... Viewsonic, Samsung, LG look passable enough in the stores at this price point, if not particularly exciting.
Thanks in advance.
