Uninstalling Parallels

I have been unable to install Parallels from my computer. I do not have an uninstall icon any where. Te website gives a list of commands that can be entered into the mac terminal to uninstall, but I do not want to inadvertently corrupt my Mac OS or cause any more problems.

Does anyone have a simple explanation on how to uninstall this software completely?
