photo booth is out of order

when i open photo booth, the apple menu bar at the top shows that the program is open, but the main window itself is nowhere to be found. also, the iSight LED isn't lit, which could mean that the camera isn't active...? i think at some point i minimized the window and then quit the program. next time i opened it, the window was minimized but not appearing on the dock. erm...that's just my silly guess though. anyway, the window is gone and i can't use the program. i could try reinstalling, but it takes patience…
