Lake Herman, Benicia, CA - just down the road from the first murder scene of the Zodiac Killer. Creepy.

Where does everyone upload there photos to post them here?

Well, you can either upload one from a location on your computer, or insert an image from a URL.

Alot of people get the photo URL from a photo on their photobucket, flickr, imageshack, etc.

bluemac - that's very nice.

i like the simple composition and the depth of the increasingly darker area on the bottom 1/3 of the photo. also like how your human subject is sort of walking a path of light - makes it thematically interesting

Thanks Eric!

It was really just a lucky catch, I was walking around the area, saw this person walking, and knew right then and there I needed to capture the moment. :D

i think it is good.. you can see the back ground, even though it is out of focus, i think it gives a more dynamic look

Nice DoF, what lens did you use? An f/2.8?

I like the glass. Even more, what's inside it. ;)

It was shot with a Sony alpha 350 18-70mm f/4.5 i think.

I'm not on my main computer right now so i can't check. I love the glass too.. The beads inside are actually a free form candle.. Basically you chuck a bunch of the beads into a glass or whatever and place a wick in the middle. Pretty cool hey :)

Bluemac - I really like that shot. The thing that really doesn't do it for me is the lines to the left of the person. They are drawing me away from the focus point of the picture. No idea what they are... A bit of photoshopping and that image could look much better (not that it doesn't already look fantastic) :)

VERY nice! I like being able to see the small amount of light through the trees, and the trees not being blackened in by lack of sunlight on the Eastern side of the hills.

i was trying to get a closer shot of the snow flakes. the picture is actually cropped to get a closer view of the flakes. i could not get the camera to focus if i got any closer.
