If this is allowed on this site, my question is are there Blue ray burners for Macs? If anyone has use such a burner, what are your experiences with it? Are they worth the pay?

Yes, there are aftermarket Blu Ray burners for the Mac, but you'll need a software package like Roxio's Toast to burn onto Blu Ray media.
