Looking for more browsing security?

Hi guys, I'm new here

I got my MacBook about 6 Months ago and basically I'm looking for more security when browsing the internet by possibly masking my IP and for more security when downloaing ect...

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

you could also look at a program called little snitch which warns you what programs are sending out data
