I have a Apple airport extreme base station router i tried to update it's firmware to 7.3.2 today in between the installation it stopped due to some unknown issue ( VISTA 32 Bit). Since then I am having an orange light flashing slowly on the base. when i start the airport utility it shows my base there with an orange light , when i try to configure it gives me some error -4. It does not even let me go to any configuration Manual or using the wizard. Can any one suggest if the firmware is corrupted, how can i undo the process. ( I have power cycled the router, hard reset it as well ) it seem not to have helped at all. The router never gave me an issue for over 8 months. I would appreciate any help.

If the firmware update somehow crashed or was corrupt, about the only thing you can try is to re-load the previous firmware version. I'm not sure from your post what it was you were doing when the error occurred. It seems you were trying to update the firmware from Vista? Are you using Mac OS X at all or are we speaking of a Windows only installation?
