Well I was taking a screenshot of my desktop and I cropped an Important part of my project and I saved it without noticing...is there any way I can get it back? Please help...

If you saved the screenshot on your HD for any length of time prior to cropping and you use Time Machine, Time Machine might have saved an incremental backup of it...
