iTunes ringtone problem

first of all my name is Josh...first time post

OK so I've purchased all of these songs on iTunes and for awhile they were available to be made into ringtones...I'm talking over 1000 songs, now I've gone to try and make a couple of them into ringtones and it pops up that they aren't available....and now NONE of my songs show the bell next to them saying they are able to be made into ringtones....

also some of the newer stuff I can go to iTunes store and see that they are still advertising them with the ringtone option!

Please HELP any advice is appreciated!

you could use Audacity to open the original songs and edit them, creating a trimmed down small MP3 ringtone file from the original
