Upload Stereo Files on Youtube?

Can you upload stereo files now on youtube? I've heard in some circles you can, but haven't pinned down an answer. I export out of Final Cut Pro with compressor... and i've got a system for pretty good looking video and sound... but would like to upgrade the audio quality to stereo.

Is there a way to do this now? Thanks for any answers.
