Basically when I boot up I can hold down the alt key and choose between two hard drives, mine are Macintosh and ones Windows. I run windows that way with boot camp and was wondering if you knew how I could transfer it so I can open with parallels?

I've tried it using Parallels for the Windows but it tells me to install it which means its not my normal windows from boot up its just a empty version with no data.

Thanks!

Well, your installation of Bootcamp is a seperate installation of Windows than what you have in parallels, that's why you don't have the information in parallels. The only way to get the data there is to boot into Windows, copy your data, then open up parallels and move it there manually.

When you install Parallels, you can choose to use the Bootcamp-intallation of Windows and then you use one install of Windows for both.

rogerinlondon is spot on.

Start a new VM in parallels and choose bootcamp as the source.

Is your version 64 Bit? Parallels doesn't currently support 64 Bit. Parallels 4 should be out soon (it's in RC stage) and that supports 64 Bit. This is of course if that is the problem.
