I will be purchasing a Mac Book Pro in a few weeks. I have a question about wireless networking. I am wondering what would be the best set-up. Here is my current set up; I have a wired network, with a D-Link router. My sister and me are both on the network, both wire desktop PCs. What would be the best way to have us both on the network? I really want airport express, because i really want the wireless music streaming feature. How would I set this up? I need to keep my sister's computer with a wired connection, as she has a desktop PC. I also may want to keep my PC on the network.

What would be the best thing for me to do? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

P.S. I am going to be a completely new mac user, after using a PC for about 10 years, I also have never configured a wireless network.

i would recommend trading out the d-link router with the airport extreme router. it will have the capability of keeping the 2 wired systems connected as well as allowing you to set up a wireless network.

i have airport express stations for my wireless music streaming and it works great. the set up for all of this is not too difficult...just follow the included instructions.

Yes, after doing some research on the Extreme, it makes sense to buy the extreme, as it has wired and wireless, but are you saying I can also buy the express, to use the airtunes feature?

If you want AirTunes you have to get the Express. The Extreme does not have the audio port.
