My wireless speeds using Airport are significantly slower than when plugged in via Ethernet through my cable modem. It's so bad that it fails to render entire pages. Is there some way I can optimize my Airport/wireless settings to get the same speed as I am through Ethernet? My two Windows laptops work fine wirelessly so I'm posititive it's an Airport issue.

I'm on a 2006 MacBook.

It's likely interference- try changing the channel on your router.

I switched from channel 11 to channel 1 on my Netgear and I'm now sitting right in front of the router (for best results). It's better but still not perfect. Is my router just incompatiable with Macs?

This is so frustrating...I think I'm just gonna pick up a Linksys WRT54G tomorrow. I've used it before and everyone seems to agree it works great with Macs, almost as well as Airport Extreme.
