Hi new here, I hope I'm not posting in the wrong area.
I have a Macbook running OSX 10.4.11, my problem is that when on the internet being on the internet is running very slow.
I called up my ISP and they did a test and said everything looked good, I have 2 PC on the network and they run fine. It does not matter if my computer is hardwired or using the airport the internet is very slow.
I have also hooked into network at work and notice the same slowness.
I did some browsing and saw suggestions of emptying cache. I have tried emptying cache and used the reset safari option (I usually use safari, but I also notice the same slowness when I use Firfox). But it seems to make no difference.
The slowness happens to pages I regularly visit like yahoo and pages that are unique visits.
There was a utility to download from Mac that is supposed to optimize settings for ISP but it said not to use i if you use airport, which I do.
Any thoughts on what I could try?
Thanks
