I have a 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 with 2GB RAM. I know that should be faster but I can't upgrade the processor due to it being soldered into the motherboard.
I am a photographer and extensively use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and have several (perhaps many) open windows in Firefox v1.5 at the same time. I usually shut down Mail when editing. Nothing else is open.
It's just too slow. Without having to buy another complete system, I am wondering if my video card is part of the problem. I have the standard issue GeForce FX 5200 with 64MB on board VRAM that came with the system.
Is this card slowing me down and can I even upgrade the video card at all?
Your help is appreciated!!
