I have a new iMAC using wireless networ to a Linksys N router. I bought the AirPort Extreme 802.11n* Enabler for Mac. I never installed it. Does it come from the factory installed?

How can I determine that it is installed?

Thanks ...

With it being a new iMac I suspect that you are already N enabled.

However, you can check by opening System Preferences -> Network -> Info Tab - select Network adapter en1

The last entry on the interface information lists the supported wi-fi standards

Apple icon > about this mac > More info

In the network section it will give you info about your wireless connection

That enabler is only for Macs bought in late 2006. Every Mac that was released from January 2007 onward has 802.11n enabled by default.
