Dawn, Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand, 6.15 am, looking due north through to the mouth of the bay. Within 5 minutes that sky had turned to grey and yellow as the sun emerged over the horizon (to the NE). Shame about that power pole but I've lived with it for over 40 years. Fuji Finepix S3000.

My girlfriend took this of me when we were on vacation taken on 9/8/08. We were at Grover Beach, near Pismo Beach. Pic was taken with a Blackberry Curve 8320. We were to lazy to bust out the real digi cam:Oops:

This was on my canon ixus 60, basic point and shoot whilst I was out with my friend in his subaru impreza v-limited, he was out testing his new dslr and the difference between our shots really are vast, especially since he also invested in a polarization filter lens.

beambeam, despite it just being a point and shoot, i do like the pic. it's just a tad washed out, but i like the faded, nearly monochromatic, background with the blue subbie - the door of similar color is a really nice touch, and i like the composition.

Here is mine. Shot with Canon Power Shot A560. I actually have two shots :Smirk:

The second seems to suffer from some Pincushion distortion :)

Certainly not a real picture.... I know that ;)

yeah, if it were edited in pshop, it would probably not have that weird black pixelated mass behind the eiffel tower. ;P

maybe ms paint? ;)

Hmm, seems as though the picture has disappeared....

And the tower it's self had some white behind it... ;)

i think imageshack is being flakey.

though the pic did just appear for me again - same weird black pixelated mass attacking the tower ;)

Thanks very much :) Yeah, it was quite a bright day and so the colours do look a bit washed out, I'll upload my friends very similar shots with his camera and show the difference for you if you like?
