Hi, I am running a mabook connecting to an airport express on 5GHz n frequency. It works perfectly holds a connection (i had connection drops and other problems.. on 2.4GHz) except i can be standing in one part of my house have full signal and literally move a metere further away and not just lose signal it will lose the network completely and not be able to find it and when i move back the meter i came it picks it up full signal again.

It is like my wireless waves are hitting a forcefield or invisible wall.

Sorry for the long post but any help at all would be much appreciated.

patch5674,

It could be that the signal is being blocked by a real wall (seems invisible), steel inside a wall, etc. Locate the areas in your house where your signal works well, and try to work in those areas. Maybe you could map your areas of connectivity and see if you can determine what "barrier" causes the drops...

Good luck, Noel
