how do i convert .mov music to .mp3 or .wma format

hello, i recorded some music via audio input with quicktime,
and i now want to burn them onto a disk for use in a car stereo.
is there any way to burn these .mov formatted music as a regular
audio cd palyable in cd player/car stereo?
or should i pick another format other than .mov when recording so that
the computer would burn automatically as a regular audio cd?

alternatively, what software can i use to convert .mov(and etc.) music
to mp3 or wma format?

You can import those .mov files into Garageband and export them as mp3 from there.

A very good software for converting all kinds of audio stuff is AudialHub. But it is a paid software.

If you have Quicktime pro, that too can do the file > export thing and supports many formats.
