Boot Camp = WinXPSP1

Okay, so I have a bunch of useful programs that I have that are windows only, and just some games to kill time with. I was looking for a copy of windows that we have, and I found XP Home Edition SP1. Boot Camp will only install SP2, and I'm not about to go out and buy Vista. Is there even a chance that XP SP2 is still on the shelves cheap? Could I trade in SP1 with SP2?

Just need some info or advice on what to do.

You can use these instructions to create a disc with SP2 integrated, based on your SP1 disc. There is no need to purchase another copy.

I tried that too, but unfortunately it was about 2 in the morning and the download was at a standstill with 20 minutes left before completion. I wasn't going to wait.

(That is contradicting in terms, since it's like 6:00 now, but I was insanely tired last night.)

If you are able to download SP2 then there is a small free software called nLite.

You can integrate anything [service packs, drivers, add-ons], customize your windows installation and make a bootable cd/dvd.

You just need to provide the windows and sp2 directory path and this software will do everything for you.

I have been using this software since SP1 came out and now I have recently integrated SP2 and installed on my iMac successfully.
