Got a Powermac G4 and want to know how to put files on a memory stick thumb drive that I have stored on the desktop. I have OS 9.1.

Also when I pull the thumb drive out of the computer do I have to do something other than pull it out. Do I have to dismount it some way?

Just drag your files to the icon on the desktop. When finished drag the icon to trash and then remove otherwise you may get some corruption just reefing it out. Same as with PC's.

When finished with files, drag the to trash and empty the trash before disconnecting otherwise files just stay there.

Click on the Drive icon once and in the file menu select Put Away. A dialog box will tell you its safe to remove USB device.
