What is the best resolution for a photo that is bound for a tv screen? This seems like such a simple question but I can't find the answer anywhere. I don't imagine they need to be 300 ppi like print media.
Thanks.

depends if you are targeting NTSC or European PAL

It is best just to supply it 1080 pixels wide with a 3 by 2 aspect ratio and RGB color space, probably higher than is strictly needed but will be fine to supply to anybody doing TV work

Thank you. I'd be targeting NTSC. Would 100 ppi be sufficient at the dimensions you cite?
