I tried everything!! Please help!!

OK so I'm trying to send editted songs from itunes on my MacBook to my LG Verizon chocolate cell phone, so that I can use those music files as ringtones, since I don't wanna pay for ringtones (such a waste!).
So I used the Bluetooth connection and managed to pair my MacBook with my cellphone. But I can't send any image files or music files from my MacBook to cellphone. It says that the file type is not supported. I really want free ringtones!!! Not the pre-made ones, but the ones you can edit (choose a specific part of the song and stuff..)
Any macbook savvy people here to help me?!?!

The problem is not your Mac or your phone, it's your carrier. Verizon intentionally cripples the bluetooth functionality of its phones to keep you from doing file transfers. This locks you into buying ringtones from their service and also keeps you from transferring photos and video without using their (pay-for) service.

I know on some popular phones, there are hacks that can be done (such as the RAZR), but it's tedious and difficult at best. Try googling your phone's model number, the word verizon, and "Bluetooth file transfers". Good luck.

i have verizon and have had the same issue. i did find this handy tutorial:

it may take some tweaking depending on your phone. for example i found that you don't have to set the bit rate as low as the author suggests and also it didn't work when i changed it to a .mid but actually worked better as an mp3. good luck
