Converting FLAC, Need Help

I have been having problems with my Macbook Pro, freezing everytime i try to convert Flac Files. I have tried using MacFLAC and also Switch applications. Does anyone have any advice for me I am getting tired of the freezing.

FLAC is such an awesome format, it's a shame the big boys at Apple and Microsoft refuse to support it (jerks). It looks like you can probably convert them with Max. If not, I think this should help: http://www.simplehelp.net/2006/07/15/how-to-convert-flac-files-to-mp3-using-os-x/
