Using a virtual machine with online gaming?

Does VMware Fusion work well with playing online games? Or is there a lot of lag or any other problems. Obviously I wouldn't be playing extremely graphic intensive games. I really want a mac, but a lot of my decision is on making sure VMware fusion would work with what I want it to (b/c i hear parallels is not as much of a workhorse)If not, and I would have to use Boot Camp, it would almost defeat the purpose of owning a mac IMO b/c i need to use some PC only programs.

I run parallels because there are some programs I just need that aren't mac supported but I'm thinking about running bootcamp aswell so I can get the full windoze environment for things like gaming.

Do you see yourself working and playing games at the same time?
