If i have a new service with At&T, will it lock my unlocked iphone?

Hi all, if i signed up a new service plan with At&T, say the pda personal plan, or prepaid plan, when i put my sim card into the iphone, will it lock it and wipe out all my third-party apps? Thanks.

Wouldn't have thought so. If you have the sim stick it in and have a go. What the worst that can happen? You'll have to do a restore. Mind you it does matter on how you hacked the iPhone.

i would think only if i connect it to itunes, then the phone will be locked.
