well basically how many?
(it is how many YOU personally own)
it can be macs and pcs...

2 macs, 3 pc laptops, 4 desktops. About half the PC's are running linux of various origins.

I need to get rid of desktops, they suck too much power.

iMac G5 2.1 Ghz iSight. Dell P4 3.06Ghz HT with 2GB RAM and XP Pro SP2

iBook G4, IBM Thinkpad PIII running Linux and XP.

AMD 64 Home Made gaming rig.

4 all together.

One iMac core 2 duo, two iBook G3 (700 and 900mhz - one is my wife's though), and a working Toshiba T1200 286 laptop that I keep as a museum piece. The Tosh has no battery - anybody have a spare?

I have had many over the years, including a CoCo from radioshack, an HX1000

Currently I own a 5 year old Compaq desktop, in the closet for storage. A Toshiba Laptop with Vista Ultimate on it, soon to go to a sister. And my pride and joy, the current Macbook. I hope in the next year or so, to get an iMac.

Why not skip the 9xxx series all together as it will be discontinued in about 2 months and get a pair of brand spankin new GTX 280's! Just one of these babies outperforms 2 9800GTX's in SLI. I will definitely put a pair of these in my new gaming PC when I build it in December(luckily my wife lets me build a new gaming PC for Christmas every year).
