What exactly is this application for? Can you use it for music recording, or do you need Cubase or something for that?

Here is a description of Sound Studio: (outdated link removed) is an audio recording and editing app for the Mac OS. It allows you to take full advantage of your Mac's built-in sound recording and playback capabilities, to digitize your collection of vinyl and tapes, to do live recording of audio, to edit new and pre-existing digital audio, and to save your audio in AIFF or Sound Designer II format to be used in other audio apps. You can try it for 14 days if i remember correctly.

what are you looking for in an audio app? perhaps we can suggest something. most recently, I use quicktime pro for lots of audio and video stuff, its so easy. Ive also used everything from reason, live, and sound studio to garageband, bias products, audacity, audio hijack(great app), etc.
