Hi,
Trying to get my two 8-core Macpros to either see each other or to see a server on the ethernet network. MacPros are 2.8ghz 8-cores, running 10.5.2. Server is an XServe G4 1.33 Ghz running 10.3.9.

I know the ethernet is working because all these computers get on the internet via the ethernet network.

None of these computers will see each other on the ethernet network, although each of their network system preferences show the ethernet connection as active. None of these machines has an airport.

Totally stumped.

Any ideas?

many thanks
