We've done some spring cleaning and added a few new forums. Highlights include:

New iPod and iPhone section with separate forums for iPod and iPhone hardware as well as software and apps.

Due to low usage, we merged AppleTV into Other Hardware and Classic OS into Other OS.

So, this time when I see a new section, it isn't going to mysteriously VANISH like last time!? :p

I swear I saw an iNet discussion thing.
I SAW IT. WHY OH WHY DIDN'T I LEAVE THE WINDOW OPEN?!
I hit refresh, and it was GONE.

schweb, were you just like LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA, LET'S MAKE TANNER EVEN CRAZIER, LA LA LA LA LALALA LA LA LA, THE CATS PAJAMAS! ;)

Um, or something else....

I can't wait to see how many negative responses we get to this one! But on the serious side - thanks for the update - appears logical to me.

I went to the hardware tab and I was like NO WAY! what happened to the iphone?!? then I went to the main page, scrolled down, and there it was, in its little own section.

I think it makes things a lot easier.

Thanks for the update Schweb and iWhat

Any chance of making changes to the log in so it is possible to use 1Password to log in. Each visit i have to type in User Name and password in full. Gets a bit tedious.

What browser are you using? On Safari for a long time now it logs me in automatically every time I open Mac Forums. Be sure you have a check mark by remember my logon where you enter your username and password on the forums.

As do Firefox and Opera. Both of these automatically login for me.

Agreed. I have in fact had no browser that I use on OSX or XP/Vista that does not auto log me into MF as long as that one box is checked when you first log into the forums.

I use Safari a lot but also use Opera and Firefox along with the latest WebKit build.

And I just broke down and purchased 1Password today while it was on sale. (Yeah, I know, said somewhere else I wouldn't and Keychain worked just fine for free.)

What the others have said is correct. But, if you've saved your login with 1Password, using the 1Password icon on the Safari Toolbar works just fine for filling in the log-in info including that checkbox to remember your login. Shouldn't be any need to have to type in anything.

I've never used 1Password but that sounds an awful lot like the Wand feature in Opera. The Wand, in case you don't know, fills in forms if you save the info after you enter it.

Yep, you've missed it van, was a big pusher of Opera the first 2 years on my Mac. It'd been my fav browser for a number of years. Have been trying to make the switch and attempting to use strictly Safari for a few months now.
