I have a bunch of DVD's that are beginning to get scratched (yes, I own them), and I want to make backup copies of them. I only have single layer DVDs.

So first I have been using mactheripper, to get the DVD files onto my computer. But then my next step I need to take is to "shrink" the files so they fit onto a single layer disk....what programs are out there to do this??? Any freeware?? I know about roxio popcorn for $50....would that work to do this???

And then what would I use to burn the CD? Or does popcorn do this??

thanks

technically illegal, even to make copies for yourself - make sure to read the forum rules.
