iPhone mail

i keep getting the error message of:
cannot get mail
invalid credentials (failure)

why is this happening i changed my password for my mail the other day but then i changed it in the setting of mail but it is still not working any word on why this is happening!!!

does it happen when you're on EDGE or wi-fi? If wi-fi, does it happen on all wi-fi networks or just one?
