Have just got Adobe Lightroom and so no longer want iphoto5 to open automatically when connecting camera. I cannot see an option in preferences in iphoto5. Can anyone out there help please? I want to be able to import into a folder not connected to iPhoto so I can then import into Lightroom when I want to.

Ok, this is going to sound weird, but it's actually in the Image Capture application preferences.

Just FYI, they have changed this in iPhoto 7 and is now in it's preferences too.

Like Alycia mentioned, open Image Capture, go to its Preferences, and change the setting for which program you want to automatically open when plugging in your camera. You an also set it to not open anything at all.
