Considering an upgrade to iMac and MOTU

I've got the first MOTU 2408, with the PCI 324, and a Power Mac G4 MDD 1.25. I was thinking of selling it all and getting a new iMac with a firewire interface. Anybody have a set up like this, or can recommend what they prefer in an upgrade of this nature?
