I'm assuming you want to use SSH on the iPhone?

What firmware are you running? For 1.1.1 the default password should be dottie.

i am running firmware 1.1.4. i can ssh into the iphone properly but i cannot use the term-vt100 because of this password issue.

i just tried my macbook password (which is what i sync my iphone with) with no luck either.

I'm having the same problem. Did you find out what was wrong? And did you happen to use the PwnageTool? If so I think that might have have something to do with it.

You need to use the default iPhone firmware passwords, not your macbook password:

root
alpine

If those don't work, then is it possible that you've changed the password?
